The word quickly got around, and since then her career has been a steep uphill trajectory, spanning releases on Lobster Theremin, sets at Hor Berlin, collaborations with the likes of Coco Bryce, and countless features on BBC Radio 1 Dance. The Bobcat Special EP demonstrates why, and proves her stylistic ambidexterity as she strays from her signature jungle-focused sound in favour of one centred on house. Through the course of four tracks, Dabbs incorporates ravey piano chords, soulful vocals and bubbly melodies into fun, strutting rhythms.
