Serial re-editor and rework merchant Ukokos (Maciej Golinski to his nearest and dearest) has a fine track record, with his prior releases on G.A.M.M being uniformly excellent. Here, he aims for dancefloor devastation on a suitably special, single-sided white label excursion. Utilising the soul-soaked vocals from Cassio Ware and Blaze gem 'Funky People', Golinski offers up a bumping, energy-packed slab of warehouse-ready garage-house revivalism layered with mazy organ solos, muffled stabs and loose-limbed, snare-heavy beats. It's nostalgic, of course, but also feels more urgent and percussive you'd expect - despite his ability to produce beats with genuine swing and groove.
