Since Good Vibrations Music doesn't release much on vinyl these days, the Bristol-based label's occasional compilation style EPs are a genuine must-check. McCabe naturally features prominently throughout. He begins by joining forces with Black Sonix to rework 'Rise' by the Matsiko World Orphan Choir's 'Rise', wrapping dreamy pads, twinkling piano improvisations and heady Rhodes solos around a tactile Latin house groove, before going solo and a rich and soulful rework of Missfly and David Bailey's 'Baby Don't Make Me Wait'. Over on side B, McCabe and Ellis Dee doff a cap to classic US garage on a wonderfully deep dub of 'Got It Bad', before Last Nubian steals the show with the soulful broken beat brilliance of 'Dance Together'.
